Watertown,
New York
--- The Norfolk Chapter of the American Legion Riders is sponsoring its
“2nd
Annual Miracle Ride” to benefit Children’s Miracle Network
on Saturday, July 8th,
11 a.m. The fee is $15 per rider or $20 per couple.
Riders will
register and leave from the Norfolk American Legion parking lot and
make
scheduled stops throughout St. Lawrence County. The 118-mile ride is
scheduled
to take four to six hours to complete before returning to the Norfolk
American
Legion Post for a meal in appreciation the riders’ support.
The American Legion Riders (ALR) is composed of
members of the American Legion who are also motorcycle enthusiasts.
They can be
found participating in parades, partaking in motorcycling events, and
supporting the communities in which they live, work, and play. Members
of the
ALR come from the Legion, the Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the
American
Legion. The American Legion Riders is family-oriented, just as is its
parent
organization, the American Legion. The
Norfolk Chapter of ALR was formed earlier this year. For more
information about
the ride, please call Chapter President Royal Sheldon at 384-3001.
