Samaritan Medical Center Addiction Services embraces the concept of patient-centered treatment for individuals and family members or significant others impacted by substance use illnesses. Our program includes a wide variety of treatment services for individuals age 13 and older. Level of care needs may range from brief treatment to Intensive Outpatient services and are recommended based upon each client's assessed needs.
We offer theme-centered group environments, which include substance abuse education, alcohol and drug refusal skills training, cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, women's issues and men's issues groups, stress management, and integrated dual recovery groups.
We offer walk-in screenings every Monday from 8:00 am – 11:00 am. However if the walk-in capacity is reached on any given Monday, we will schedule the patient to come back during that same week for an appointment. Patients can also make an appointment for their convenience. We offer scheduled complete evaluation appointments for individuals or others who are directly impacted by the negative effects of another person's use of alcohol or substances.

Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Appointments may be made by the person seeking services or by a referral from a primary care provider, Drug Court, probation or other agency programs. We also participate in NYSBIRT (New York State Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment). This approach allows individuals who don't know or realize they have a problem with alcohol and/or drugs to be screened and discuss options without making a formal commitment to a treatment plan at this screening.
