Samaritan Medical Center is committed to helping our patients understand the complex billing process – it also depends on the patient to understand the coverage provided by their own insurance plans. Please make sure all arrangements for payment of your medical bill are made prior to your visit to one of our locations and plan to pay the amount of your co-payment or deductible when you register for service or admission.
Because each health insurance plan is different, we encourage you to know and understand your plan's specific benefits. If you have any questions about the co-payment or deductible that is due at the time of service, we encourage you to contact your insurance company directly. Most insurance cards provide a phone number to call for questions and information.
If your care requires anesthesia, radiology or other physician services, you will receive a separate bill for the providers of these services (i.e., Northern Radiology Associates, Jefferson Anesthesiologist Services, North Country Emergency Medical Consultants, etc.).
Upon receipt of your bill from Samaritan, our patient account representatives will help you to make short-term payment arrangements, explain hospital billing policies and answer any questions you may have. A patient account representative may be reached by calling 315-785-5730, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. Please note that each visit to the hospital or one its affiliates is billed individually, and you will receive an itemized statement notifying you that your insurance has been billed.
Samaritan Medical Center accepts all patients for service without regard to race, color, creed or the ability to pay. Financial Assistance is available to all who apply and qualify for assistance. All medically necessary hospital medical services are covered by this program. If you are in need of help applying for government-based insurance please learn more about our Government Insurance Liaison.
