Cardiac Rehabilitation is designed to help people with heart problems or people at risk for heart problems such as heart attack, bypass surgery, stable angina, valve surgery and stents. The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department is located on the 4th floor in the hospital by using the Pratt Elevator (C). You can contact the department by calling 315-785-4208.
The Cardiac Rehabilitation program operates under the direction of a board certified cardiologist. Registered nurses who specialize in Cardiac Rehabilitation and are certified in ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) work with you and your personal physician while you are in the program. Group and individual education sessions are included in all phases and cover topics such as heart disease, risk factor reduction, heart-healthy diet, home exercise programs, stress management, smoking cessation, and medications.
