Since 1998, Samaritan Medical Center’s physicians and staff have
willingly opened their doors to Osteopathic Medical Students in order
to provide a quality education for these aspiring physicians.
Since
the time the first student walked through our doors, the Medical
Education opportunities at Samaritan have increased dramatically. The
addition of an Osteopathic Internship Training Program and the creation
of Osteopathic Residency Programs in both Family Practice and Internal
Medicine have solidified Samaritan’s commitment to becoming a
nationally recognized Osteopathic teaching hospital.
For
third and fourth-year Osteopathic Medical Students, Interns, and
Residents, the Samaritan experience is one in which one-on-one contact
with attending physicians is commonplace and opportunities for hands-on
learning occur daily and weekly in the form of Grand Rounds, Primary
Care Conferences, specialty conferences, and informal case reviews.
