Adult Day Health Care

The Samaritan Keep Home also provides specialty care for qualified individuals who live at home, but require restorative support services and socialization. Adult Day Health Care offers an alternative to institutional care by allowing individuals to remain in their homes. Adult Day Health Care offers several programs and services that are important to senior care in this area

How the program works:

Services are provided on a daily basis, Monday through Friday. Therapeutic programs are developed for each person based on the individual's physician recommendations. The Samaritan Keep Home staff of professionals then administers the services.

  • Nursing Care and Supervision
  • Personal Care
  • Podiatry Services
  • Restorative Nursing Program
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Transportation
    • Available for all those that qualify. Vans are available for a nominal fee and are equipped for the disabled and wheelchair bound.

Registrants participate in a wide range of planned recreational and motivational activities, including:

  • Ceramics
  • Community Entertainment
  • Crafts
  • Religious services
  • Wellness programs
  • Woodworking


Social Services

The Samaritan Keep Home Social Services Department is actively involved in addressing the participants'' personal needs, including advice as to the various community based programs that would be available to lend additional support.

Nutritional Counseling and Meals

The nutritional needs of those in the program are closely monitored by our licensed and professional staff. Participants are counseled by an ADA Registered Dietitian on how to meet their nutritional needs at home. A nutritious hot lunch and snacks are provided daily.

The Samaritan Keep Home and Adult Day Health Care Program are fully accredited by the New York State Department of Health and the Veterans Administration.
