Speech Therapy

Speech therapy provides identification, consultation, rehabilitation, referral, and prevention services pertaining to communication and swallowing disabilities for patients of all ages. We are pleased to care for our patients needs during acute hospitalization, and continued services are offered on an outpatient basis. Our department works closely with your Physician and specialists such as the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Physician. We routinely assist Federal Employees and Wounded Service Member's with tools to help communication deficits through the Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP), and are happy to accept Tricare referrals. Our hours are flexible, to meet the needs of our community.

Adult Communication Disorders

• Stroke-related and other neurologically based communication deficits
• Laryngectomy
• Tracheoesophageal prosthesis management
• Voice disorders
• Communication problems associated with Traumatic Brain Injury (cognitive retraining)
• Augmentative/Alternative Communication Systems
• Stuttering
• Communication management for Tracheostomized and Ventilator dependent patients

Swallowing

• Bedside/outpatient evaluation
• Vital Stim: a specialized treatment for Neuro Muscular Electric Stimulation for swallow rehabilitation

Pediatric Communication Disorders

• Delayed/disordered speech and language
• Articulation problems
• Communication disorders related to hearing loss
• Stuttering
• Traumatic Brain Injury
• Augmentative/Alternative Communication Systems

New Patients:

• Save time and have your patient forms filled out before your appointment. Print out forms below, fill in information, and bring with you to your scheduled appointment.
  • Welcome Letter and Patient Intake Questionnaire
• Please plan on arriving 15-20 minutes early to Registration, prior to your first scheduled therapy appointment. Our Registration area is located directly across from the parking garage.
• Please bring with you to the first scheduled therapy appointment: the order for therapy from your doctor, your insurance card, photo ID, and medication list.
